Notice of Change in Operations Due to Coronavirus (Updated May 7, 2020)

To help keep our students, staff, and families safe during this pandemic, New Hope School has instituted the following changes in operations. This is in keeping with Itabashi-ward, Tokyo-to, and national government guidance.

Spring Programs: 2020 spring programs were canceled and fees refunded on the advice of Itabashi ward office.

Mommy & Me Classes: Last class for winter term on March 17. Closed from March 18 through May 31. Depending on government guidance, may stay closed longer.

Kinder English Classes: Last class for winter term on March 18. Closed from March 19 through May 31. Depending on government guidance, may stay closed longer.

Kids’ English classes: Last class for winter term on March 18. Opened a portion of classes on April 6 and 7. Closed all classes April 8-10 after state of emergency was declared. On-site classes will stay closed through May 31. Depending on government guidance, may stay closed longer. A portion of classes opened online from April 13.

Preschool: Started spring break early, from March 11. On-site care (preschool and extended care) is not available through May 31, depending on government guidance, maybe longer. Distance learning has been implemented for the time we cannot operate on site.
